News and Recent Developments David Baker With very deep regret we report the recent death of David Baker. David
was for several years an Owners’ representative on the Owners’
Committee until his resignation on medical advice in October of last
year. During his time on the Committee David gave freely of his time
and talents in the interests of all owners –both individually and
collectively. David’s wife Linda and family are very much in our
thoughts at this time. The Owners Committee consider as a priority, the ongoing refurbishment and updating of owner accommodation.
In
keeping with this philosophy, during early 2009, four Solent View
apartments underwent significant make-overs, and during the remainder
of 2009/early 2010 it is anticipated that further units will undergo a

The Owners Committee normally meets four times during the year, usually in January, May, August and in October.
The
Annual General Meeting is also usually held in October, and in 2010 it
is now confirmed to take place at Elmers Court on Tuesday, 19th
October commencing at 11a.m.
There are three owner representatives on
the club committee each serving for three years with one retiring in
rotation each year. The retiring member is eligible to stand for
re-election. Any owner is eligible to stand for election; nominations
accompanied by curriculum vitae must be submitted by 1st July preceding
the Annual General Meeting.
